What It Actually Costs

Most pressure cleaners will not put a number on a website. Here are ours, along with an honest explanation of what pushes a quote above the starting price — so you can work out roughly where you sit before you ring anyone.

Starting prices

These are genuine starting points for a straightforward job, not teaser numbers nobody ever actually pays.

Bundling is where the real saving is. A roof, house wash and driveway together in one visit costs meaningfully less than three separate call-outs, because most of the cost is getting the gear there and setting it up.

What pushes the price up

Six things, and they are the same six for every operator in Brisbane. Anyone quoting a flat rate sight unseen is either guessing or planning to renegotiate on the day.

Size

Square metres of surface. The most obvious one, and usually the biggest single factor.

Height and pitch

Two storeys means harness work, slower movement and more setup. A steep roof more so again.

Access

Narrow side setbacks, steep blocks, no room for the trailer. Camp Hill and the older inner suburbs are full of these.

Condition

Cleaned two years ago is a different job from never touched in fifteen with an inch of lichen on it.

Surface type

Travertine, sandstone, painted render and old terracotta all need slower low-pressure methods, which cost more per square metre than blasting concrete.

Distance

We are based on Brisbane’s southside. The further outside our usual patch, the more travel is in the price.

Where we will talk you out of spending money

There are jobs we would rather not take, and telling you so at the quote stage saves us both a bad afternoon.

Oil stains on unsealed concrete

Usually cannot be fully removed by anyone. We will often get them a lot lighter, but if you are paying in the hope they disappear, do not. The full explanation is here.

Weeds between pavers

We remove most of them, not all. Anything rooted deep in the sand base comes back. The photo in our gallery is a realistic result, not a perfect one.

Solar panels cleaned last year

Probably do not need doing again yet. Ask us to look before you book.

Roofs past saving

Some old terracotta needs a roofer, not a cleaner. We will put a drone up and show you rather than take the money and hand you back the same problem.

Freshly laid concrete

Often better left until it has cured. Pressure on green concrete etches it permanently, and that is a resurfacing job.

A job we usually advise against

Weeds between pavers

We can blast them out and it looks great for a fortnight. What you cannot see is the jointing sand going with them, which is why they come back thicker.
